Fairview Wine and Cheese
Tourists can enjoy a variety of different days out when holidaying in Gordons Bay. The village is centrally located to many of the Western Cape’s top tourist attractions. One of the most popular activities to experience while here is visiting some of the wine estates on the different wine routes. If cheese, along with wine, is your thing then Fairview Wine and Cheese is your perfect choice. Fairview is in the Paarl wine region and is just over 50 km’s from Gordons Bay, which is about an hours drive.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of tasting experiences at Fairview. The estate offers wine, and cheese and wine combinations, to suit all palates. Customers can also stock up on the delicious offerings in Fairview’s shop and deli…so you can spoil yourself!
This beautiful estate dates back to the 1690s, with the first wine being produced here in 1699. Fairview is well-known not just for its produce, but also for one of its most recognisable features – the goat tower. The tower was built in 1981 and it’s residents represent a herd of more than 1000 does (female goats), who provide milk to the Vineyard Cheesery each day.
